The Horse Brain and Behaviour Webinar: Part 1 - The science behind what works with your horse on Feb 18 at 7.30pm

Webinars are with Amanda and are held for small groups on Zoom.  This webinar is a detailed, interactive presentation giving a clear and structured explanation of what we know about the horse’s brain in relation our training and his learning.  Some is taken from my own postgraduate studies and much is based on the research of Dr Steve Peters  who wrote Evidence-Based Horsemanship with horseman Martin Black.  Throughout the talk participants are welcome to ask questions and take part in quizzes as we go along.  Webinars usually last about 90 minutes but that depends a little on the questions and discussion that comes up.  A great deal ofinformation is presented during the webinar so will have access to a recording of the evening after the event.

This webinar is split into 2 parts. You need to attend Part 1 first because Part 2 is a practical application of the theory discussed in Part 1 and won't make sense out of order.

What are you going to get out of this Webinar?

During this 1.5 hour webinar Amanda will be looking at:

  • The key differences between a horse and a human brain
  • The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system
  • Neurotransmitters and hormones released by the nervous system and their relevance
  • The importance of giving the horse time to learn
  • How to work to encourage curiosity
  • Dendrities, myelin and their importance

Based on the work of Dr Steve Peters, the focus of this webinar will be on practical application and how this information can make a positive difference to you and your horse –  immediately.  The participants on previous webinars have found this information to be transformational to the way they are working with horses.

To take part please book onto the Webinar via the Bookings page, then you will be sent a Zoom link to the email address given on your booking.  We look forward to seeing you for the webinar.
