Do you have a horse who has ulcers or is prone to laminitis, has a chronic cough, skin issues or has been described as ‘metabolic’?  Do you struggle with your ‘good do-er or ‘poor do-er’, do you observe seasonal changes in performance or just feel that something isn’t quite right?  If you can say yes to any of these questions then this talk is for you.

Lorraine Dearnley is a qualified Masterson Method Practitioner who is also training with Dr Christina Fritz as an equine metabolic therapist.  Lorraine now runs an equine nutrition business and consultancy and she has spent the last couple of years really unpicking the subject of nutrition for horses. This evening talk is all about sharing her personal experience with you and how she went about resolving reoccurring ulcers, managing a horse with PSSM and coping with a variety of metabolic issues, even if they weren’t externally obvious.

This talk will start in 2021 when Lorraine first met Christina and follow the journey so far with her four horses and ponies. It will cover how their management and feeding has changed, how their metabolic issues have been uncovered and their progress so far. You will be able to understand the process involved and see the changes, both internal and external, that have been made. It will give you some insight as to ways you can help your horse and what symptoms to look for that may indicate hindgut/metabolic issues.
