Sports Psychology for riders with Steffi Dampney from the Sporting Difference on February 26
Steffi is a Sport and Performance Psychologist who is based in Wiltshire and specialises in working with equestrians, amongst other sports. She enjoys competing herself, and understands all too well the pressures put on riders both by themselves and other people. Using her training along with her competitive experience, Steffi works with athletes to discover the best techniques to enable them to fulfil their potential.
As riders we spend a lot of time considering the needs of our horses and training them be at their best, but how often do we give any thought to how we can help ourselves perform at our best? This talk will give you an overview of what sport psychology can offer you in order to optimise your performance, whether it be at home, at training or out competing. The tools and techniques Steffi provides can be applied to all disciplines on a daily basis.”
